Outgoing State Sen. Mathew Muratore, a Republican, ran for the state senate of the Plymouth and Barnstable District race. With only 89% of the votes counted as of Wednesday morning, Muratore’s opponent Democrat State Rep. Dylan Fernandes was in the lead with 53,514, or 52% of the vote.
