Kimi Antonelli, who at 18 years old became F1's youngest pole winner in history when he started first in Saturday's sprint race, qualified third for Mercedes. It is the first time he qualified higher than teammate George Russell, who was fifth behind current F1 points leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren.

Formula 1 circuit moves to Florida for the sixth race of the season, the Miami Grand Prix, which will be held on Sunday, May 4. McLaren have set the pace this season, with Oscar Piastri capturing three GP wins already this season while teammate Lando Norris won the season opener in Australia.

Kimi Antonelli took the pole position with a lap of 1.26.482, besting current world championship points leader Oscar Piastri by .045-second.
