ESPN will offer 11 different presentations of the 2025 CFP national championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State. The traditional broadcast will be on ESPN, while Pat McAfee will host an alternative broadcast on ESPN2. The command center will be available on ESPNU, giving fans a "multi-angle presentation with player and team statistics."

The 22.1 million mark marked a drop from the 25 million who tuned in for Michigan's 34-13 victory over Washington in 2024.

Through the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, ESPN was able to capitalize with some huge TV ratings wins. It all culminated with a record showing for Monday’s national championship between Ohio State and Notre Dame.

The national champion Ohio State Buckeyes topped the final Associated Press Top 25 college football poll of the season. Notre Dame finished No. 2 for its highest end-of-season ranking since 1993.

Ohio State has another National Championship under its belt, and 22.1M people tuned in to watch the Buckeyes defeat Notre Dame for the title on Monday. That’s a pretty strong number, even though it is down from last year’s 24.
