The Atlanta Falcons have completed a third interview for their defensive coordinator vacancy. Lou Anarumo, the former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator, met with the team on Thursday afternoon.

Two candidates — Michigan defensive coordinator Wink Martindale and New York Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich — have completed interviews while two others — former Bengals DC Lou Anarumo and former Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks — are set to meet with the team next week.

Lake had never been a defensive coordinator or a defensive playcaller prior to 2024. It's likely that the Falcons bring in someone with more experience doing that job this offseason. Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo will also be interviewed, per an NFL Network report.
