Donovan Mitchell scored 27 points, Evan Mobley added 21 and the Cleveland Cavaliers bullied the New York Knicks from the start Friday night, winning 142-105 in a matchup of two of the Eastern Conference's top teams.

By bringing in two new reinforcements on the wing, it helps the Cavaliers get deeper at their biggest position of need by adding multiple two-way, versatile threats. Yet, factoring in any mid-season addition has more layers of complexity than just incorportating their services on paper.

Donovan Mitchell agrees. Mobley had 18 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks, helping Cleveland to its 45th win Thursday in Brooklyn. “He’s everything to us,” Mitchell said of the 4th-year forward. Tonight the Cavs are back home to face the Knicks, who are 3rd in the East (37-18).
