BYU withstood a ferocious charge from Wisconsin’s John Tonje to hold off the Badgers for a 91-89 victory that sends the program to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2011.

DENVER – It’s one thing to make the NCAA tournament, but it’s another to get to the second weekend. BYU has done it once (2011) since the field was expanded to 64 teams in 1985. The Wisconsin Badgers have made it 10 times since then, though not since 2017.
