Clemens has eight extra-base hits and 10 RBIs in just 41 plate appearances since the Twins acquired him from the Phillies on April 26.

The Twins were one strike away victory earlier in the inning when Bo Naylor smacked a double off the wall in right field off Jhoan Duran, bringing home a pair of runs. The inning had started with Joe Ryan, who was on the mound when the game resumed, allowing a double and a walk before making way for Duran.

It almost took three days, but the Twins finally beat the Cleveland Guardians Wednesday afternoon at Target Field. Kody Clemens doubled home the game-winning run with two out in the ninth inning for the Twins 6-5 win of Monday’s shortened game.
