Five people are dead after two murder-suicides in Santa Rosa County on Tuesday. With the area having seen four murder-suicides since June, Sheriff Bob Johnson is urging those in a domestic violence situation to take advantage of the resources that are out there.

More than half of voters in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties have cast their ballots before the polls open for Election Day today at 7 a.m. Turnout numbers reported by both counties show that a majority of voters have already taken advantage of the early voting period or mail-in voting to cast their ballots.
