A new wildfire was reported today at 1:22 p.m. in San Diego County. Picnic Fire has been burning on federal land managed by the United States Forest Service. At this time, there is no data on the containment status of the fire and the cause has yet to be determined.

According to Cal Fire, much of the San Diego region is especially vulnerable this time of year, so the agency is standing by with extra resources in case a fire breaks out.
