The Golden State Warriors made a major statement in Wednesday night's Game 1 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Semifinals. In a game that saw Warriors star Stephen Curry exit early due to a hamstring injury, they still stayed in control, winning 99-88.

The Wolves enter as favorites to win the series against the Warriors, but they were underdogs against the Lakers in the first round. Anthony Edwards starred against L.A., posting 26.8 points per game. Edwards got plenty of help as Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert all had their moments in the series win.

Despite losing star Stephen Curry to a hamstring injury in the first half, the Golden State Warriors still made it past the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. But if Curry is sidelined for an extended period of time, the series could flip instantly.
