Police in Minnesota made 2,079 drunken driving arrests over the holidays, which marked an improvement on the 2,432 arrests in the same period of 2023. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has released the results of its 2024 holiday DWI enforcement campaign, compiling DWI arrests between Nov. 27 through Dec. 31.

Law enforcement made more than 2,000 arrests were during the DWI holiday enforcement campaign, with the highest recorded BAC of 0.415.

MOORHEAD — Dozens of drivers were arrested for driving while impaired throughout western Minnesota during a holiday enforcement period. The enforcement, which ran from Nov. 27 to Dec. 31, yielded 2,079 arrests for driving while impaired across Minnesota, the state Department of Public Safety said in a Friday, Jan. 17, release.
