The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent the Champions Trophy from Dubai to Islamabad as Pakistan gears up to host the tournament from February 19 to March 9, 2025.

The official schedule for the 2025 ICC Champions trophy which is scheduled to take place in Pakistan in February-Match next year is still to be revealed as the BCCI has refused to send Team India to for the tournament.

Pakistan on Thursday said that no back channel diplomacy was going on with India after the neighbouring country refused to send its cricket team for the Champions Trophy to be held in February-March next year.

As per the proposed schedule, Pakistan will be placed in Group A alongside India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B consists of England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. The BCCI is awaiting consultations with the Indian government before confirming participation in matches hosted in Pakistan.

Pakistan are Champions Trophy holders, having beaten arch-rivals India in the final in the UK by 180 runs in 2017. Meanwhile, the first ever ICC Women's Champions Trophy will be hosted by Sri Lanka in 2027 and it'll be played in T20I format.
