Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano Erupts, Spewing Lava 330 Feet High
The eruption began at 10:16 a.m. when molten rock broke through the surface inside Halemaʻumaʻu Crater. Within 30 minutes, a vent blasted lava 330 feet (100 meters) high, according to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.
