F1 fans have been warned Lewis Hamilton could retire before his Ferrari contract expires if his form doesn’t improve. The seven-time world champion has endured a difficult start to life with the Scuderia, picking up just 31 points in five races.

Although there is still a long season ahead of the Brit, former driver Ralf Schumacher – the brother of Michael Schumacher who is the only other driver in F1 history to win seven titles - believes Hamitlon could retire at the end of the year if things don't improve.

Lewis Hamilton has signed a multi-year deal with Ferrari but there are suggestions that he may look for an early exit if his own results do not improve.
