Friends of Big Bear Valley have announced the names for the mountain's two newest bald eagles — Sunny and Gizmo.

Fans of the eagles submitted more than 54,000 name suggestions before Big Bear Valley school children picked the winners.

Friends of Big Bear Valley have announced the names for the mountain’s two newest bald eagles. Big Bear Elementary students in grades 3-5 were given the opportunity to vote for their favorites, and the names with the most votes were selected for the chicks.
