FOND DU LAC – Fond du Lac readers have been asking "What's going on with Meijer?" over the years after passing the vacant portion of Forest Mall property on Johnson Street. Midwest supermarket chain Meijer first eyed Fond du Lac in 2018 and started the process of buying land on the Forest Mall property, 835 W. Johnson St.

Dogs were rescued from deplorable conditions in a Fond du Lac County home and are now in the care of the Eastshore Humane Association.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to a home in the Town of Calumet for a welfare check. The initial report was that there was an unpleasant odor coming from the residence.

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that left one person wounded on Tuesday, Nov. 5. It happened around 5 p.m. near Fond du Lac and Congress. Police say a 43-year-old was taken to the hospital for treatment. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
