The state Supreme Court race in Wisconsin and a pair of special House elections in Florida have grabbed national attention.
The incident occurred about 7:20 p.m. on the campus's Library Mall, according to a press release from the University of Wisconsin - Madison Police Department. The driver, David Volm, 31, of Stevens Point, drove the truck on campus just over 30 minutes before polls closed.
Incumbent Mayor Richard Irvin faces challenger, Aurora Alderman John Laesch. The two were separated by just 500 votes during the primary election. Laesch has already voted while Irvin will cast his ballot later on Tuesday morning.
