News of the Pittsburgh Steelers trading 24-year-old wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys broke early Wednesday morning, and believe it or not, Pickens himself found out when it became public on social media.

George Pickens is excited to pair with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to form a dynamic Dallas Cowboys offense. Dak Prescott was one of the first people George Pickens talked to after the electrifying receiver was traded to the quarterback 's Dallas Cowboys from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pickens, who was traded to the Cowboys on Wednesday in exchange for a package including a 2026 third-round pick, spoke to the Dallas media about his new teammates on a Thursday conference call. Pickens told reporters that Prescott was one of the first people who reached out to him following the trade, per ESPN's Todd Archer.
