Crater Lake National Park's Crater Lake will be closed until 2029. Crater Lake and the popular Cleetwood Cove Trail will be closed to swimmers, boaters, and hikers until 2029. This summer will be the last chance for travelers to visit the lake until 2029.

Those wanting to recreate in the deepest lake in the U.S. will need to schedule a visit soon, before access closes for two years.

Crews will be rehabilitating the Cleetwood Cove Trail that leads down to the lake, as well as the Cleetwood Marina, where visitors can access the water and catch boat tours to Wizard Island.
