Several areas of the parkway, which was visited by over 16.7 million people last year, are now accessible in Western North Carolina. The section between Milepost 405.5, near NC 151, and Milepost 411.8, at NC 276, opened Friday. Campgrounds, picnic areas and other visitor services in this section are closed for the 2024 season.
