The unsettling scene at Little Elm’s Lobo Stadium on Monday morning wasn’t normal for a high school track meet, but it was indicative of the tragedy that occurred at the District 11-5A meet in Frisco five days earlier.

Austin Metcalf was a 17-year-old high school student in Frisco, Texas, who was stabbed to death by another student at a track meet, according to Frisco police. Frisco police wrote in a news release that the suspect accused in the homicide is a Frisco Centennial High School student named Karmelo

The suspect, Karmelo Anthony, is being represented by criminal defense attorneys Billy Clark and Kim T. Cole, who released their first statement about the case.
