The Democratic National Committee‘s possible removal of Vice Chairman David Hogg has ignited an internal firestorm, splitting party members over what some say is a sham attempt to quash a young leader.

The Democratic National Committee is taking steps to oust vice chairs David Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta after a complaint stated the party made a procedural error.

Hogg said that even though the vote was over procedural concerns, it is "impossible to ignore the broader context."
