In order to visit the site you have to take a dirt road towards it. This road is inaccessible if you don't pay a bunch of locals. You cannot go through if you are a tourist. As it seems from a previo…Full review by Ros13673

Hi everybody! We would like to take the Dzibanche Mayan Ruins To with THENATIVECHOICE TOURS, or maybe with SHORE EXCURSIONS . We will be arriving with Norwegian Cruiseline that docks in Costa Maya from 8:00am to 5pm. This is a 6 hour tour. Do you think that there could be any danger of us not getting back to the ship on time? Is there a really big difference between a Dzibanche Mayan Ruins tour and a Chacchoben Mayan Ruins tour? Hi I live in the area, I think you will have no problem with the time. They will get you back there for the departure. They are both good ruins, but I prefer Dzibanche. I almost always see monkeys, and I love that, and it is very quiet, not a huge number of tourists. That is why it is my preference.
